Ye are my friends
if ye do whatsoever I command you.

John 15:14

There is a people of God in this day, as in every age. This is a people that is in the world but not a part of it. They are not partakers of the world's fads, fashions, entertainments, politics, or wars. They are a people that have been redeemed out of the vain spirit and conversation of this present world to live holy and righteous lives before an unbelieving generation. The great labor of this people is to warn everyone to flee from the wrath that is soon to come upon this sin-cursed world. For the world is rushing headlong into destruction.

This people goes by the name of the Friends of Jesus Christ because we are His friends. We are to be found in the small rural town of Farmington, Maine, but will soon be spread over the whole earth. As in every age, the people of God will never be many, but we will be placed as witnesses in every part of this doomed world. We are to witness not only against the wicked ways of the world but also against the worldly doctrines and practices of the so-called Christian churches everywhere.

We do always labor to show those who wittingly and unwittingly serve Satan that Jesus Christ plainly taught that there are only two roads or ways in this life, the one leading to Heaven and the other leading to Hell.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matt 7:13, 14.

After plainly declaring that the road to Heaven is very narrow and that very few will choose to walk in it, He warns of false preachers that will tell you that you don't have to be so fanatical, as follows:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Matt 7:15-20.
