Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles , until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:24-26.
Satan is the god of this present age. He is the ruler over the nations of this world. God never created one nation, not even Israel. When God formed Israel, He formed it into a church with Himself as its head. Israel became a nation when, in a backslidden state, it demanded a king. So Israel made itself into a nation. Yet, God watched over Israel and kept His covenant with it.
The governments of this world are run by Satan, although most people are unaware of this fact. He sets up rulers and kingdoms to further his plans for the destruction of souls. He inspires wars and crimes to increase the population of Hell. He enables man to build great cities and to make great scientific advances so as to increase man's pride and rebelliousness toward God. And man willingly follows where Satan leads because man hates his Creator.
In the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation God has announced that when man's cup of iniquity is full He will bring sudden destruction to Satan's kingdom and set up His dear Son, Jesus Christ, as King of kings and Lord of lords, to rule over the world. Almost all of the many signs prophesied that are precursors of this great destruction have occurred. We are on the very brink of destruction.
Great preparations are being made by the Arab countries to destroy the Jews, God's Chosen People, and even now they are poised to use weapons of mass destruction against them. The economy of the world is teetering and will soon crash. Man is on the verge of usurping God's creative power by cloning humans. Terrible diseases are emerging from nowhere, diseases for which there are no cures, such as, AIDS and Ebola.
We are on the very edge of the greatest disasters ever to hit this world. We are about to enter the time that the Bible calls The Great Tribulation
